Jobs at Camp

A General Guide

What Kind of Job can you get?

We've got years of experience in sending young people from all over the world to the US on Camp Programmes (as well as lots of other types of programme!).
Our camps are looking for enthusiastic team players who are willing to commit to their time at camp - and who have experience of working with children.
See below for some examples of what we're looking for!

As a camp counselor, you will be placed in one of two roles:

    • Cabin Counselor—whether you are helping campers write an email home to their parents or checking in to see how bunkmates are getting along, you will be the children’s activity master, supervisor, cheerleader, and source of guidance throughout the program.

    • Activity Specialist—you will guide campers through a specific activity each day. Depending on the camp, activities range from ceramics to music lessons to waterskiing to specialties such as dance or skateboarding.

You get to live and work in some off the most beautiful areas the USA has to offer - surrounded by nature while also having possibly the most fun you can get WHILE STILL BEING PAID!!
As well as this, you're going to develop relationships with not just your campers, but staff and colleagues from all over the world - and make some memories that will last a lifetime.

If you love working with kids and have experience looking after them get in touch - you'll also need to be flexible, a team player and most of all mature enough to take responsibility for those around you

    General Councelor

General Councellors are like the swiss army knives of camp! This means they're part of all aspects of camp life - and get involved in pretty much every part of the day to day activities.
This will include wake up, breakfast, as well as taking part and assisting in other day to day programmes and activities - from sports to theatre workshops!

    Tennis Coach

You don't have to have a serve like Andy Murray or a backhand like a Williams sister to teach tennis at Camp! While some camps will be looking for seriously good players, others are looking for people who play regularly and preferably competitively, and who have the patience and attitude to work with a mix of abilities and skills.
Most camps will put kids into ability and age groups - normally in groups up to a maximum of ten kids for an activity.

    Swimming

Swim staff at camp teach skills normally in one hour slots for four hours or more a day. While some camps take swimming very seriously and take part in organised competitions with other camps, there are lots for whom this is just a great fun activity that brings everyone together to enjoy the open air and fantastic surroundings!
