Fees include:
Rapid turnaround of the legal documents (the DS-2019) for your J1 Visa application once your full application and payment received
One to one contact with your Pan Atlantic team member in the USA
Insurance based on the dates of your internship or traineeship
Orientation
In-country support during your time in the USA

The actual cost is much higher, and the balance of this will be paid by your US Host Company

Fees
All Fees are in UK Pounds (£)
Your part of the programme fees must be paid in full once requested in order to move forward with the application process.
The actual fees for the programme are much higher than the amount you are asked to pay.
Your US Host Company will pay the balance between the fees you pay and the full programme fees

Actual Fees payable will be based on the exchange rate at the time of application.
Please note: In some cases participant fees may vary based on the amount your US Host Company will be paying. In these situations BSG interns will communicate this to you in advance.

Fees do not include SEVIS fees

This fee chart updates automatically every few hours based on current exchange rates as issued by Google - as such the fees will vary at different times based on the prevailing US dollar exchange rate.
For a 12 month J1 Intern Programme, this means you’re paying approx
£3.15/ day for your sponsorship, legal documentation and medical insurance in the USA - less than the price of a cup of coffee.
Additional Costs to consider
Additional costs you will need to consider when applying for a J1 Visa Programme
SEVIS FEE ($220):
When your application is ready to be approved, you will be contacted by Pan Atlantic. At this time, as part of the process of booking your visa interview at your local embassy, you will need to pay your SEVIS fee.
*This fee is non-refundable
Local US Embassy Fee/ MRV Fee ($185):
This is paid directly to the local embassy in order to book and attend your interview.
*This fee is non-refundable
Flights to and from the USA:
Participants are responsible for booking their own flights to and from the USA
Cancellation and Refund Policy
There is a sliding scale of non-refundable charges based on the time you cancel your application and how far along in the process you are.
Please read these carefully to avoid confusion at a later date.
THERE WLL BE NO REFUND OF ANY PROGRAMME FEES IF YOU CANCEL AFTER YOUR VISA HAS BEEN ISSUED OR AFTER YOUR PROGRAM START DATE (AS PER YOUR DS-2019 AND DS-7002 TRAINING PLAN)
In the event of a cancellation after a DS-2019 has been produced but prior to issuance of the visa (including the case of visa denial), the following amounts will be deducted from your programme fees prior to your refund being issued*:
*Neither Pan Atlantic nor IST Plus can be responsible for failure to secure a visa interview appointment in time for your intended start date.
Any cancellation will incur standard fees as listed below
After application completed and submitted to Pan Atlantic but PRIOR to issuance of your SEVIS ID: We will refund your programme fees minus £350
After application approved and legal documentation (SEVIS ID or DS-2019 Certificate) generated (including in cases of visa denial at the US Embassy):
J1 Interns: We will refund your programme fees minus £575
J1 Trainees: We will refund your programme fees minus £625
Refunds will normally take 10-15 working days from the time of request
Refunds will be made based on Programme fees as listed on your original invoice. Any additional card charges or processing charges will not be included when calculating your refund
Requesting your Refund:
If you are requesting a refund as a result of a visa denial at the US Embassy or consulate, you will need to email our team - make sure you include the date of the embassy interview and a copy of the document the embassy gave you with the reason for the denial.
Our team will then send you an email outlining the options for your refund.
Please note: Refunds will normally take 10-15 working days from the time of request
Refunds will be made based on Programme fees as listed on your original invoice.
Any additional card charges or processing charges will not be included when calculating your refund
There will be no refunds of programme fees if you cancel or withdraw from the programme after approval of your visa at the US Embassy.
There will also be no refund if you cancel or withdraw form the programme after your arrival in the United States
